Billi Jene has spent years creating experiences centered around people, not just products — and several past lives centered around husbands, but who's counting. With deep roots in the Winfield community, where she once raised a family and now raises frequencies, Velvet Bean is a natural extension of her story.

Education & Credentials Before bringing Velvet Bean to life, Billi Jene earned advanced degrees in Crystal Healing and Energy Alignment from the Arcadia College of Bible and Chiropractic, graduating summa cum laude from a program that, notably, has never been audited by anyone.

It was during this time, alongside her ninth husband Mandel, that she pioneered the now-legendary Sub-Bass Sub-Dermal Realignment technique — a proprietary "deep-tissue reset" method involving subwoofers, warm stones, and a signed waiver.

Velvet Bean is the evolution of that vision. Having realigned countless chakras (and at least one lower back, allegedly), Billi Jene decided to redirect her healing energies toward something the greater St. Louis area truly needed: gelato. The shop brings together handcrafted drinks, over-the-top desserts, and the faint, unplaceable hum of bass frequencies in a space designed to feel welcoming, relaxed, and spiritually recalibrated.
